Our History begins right here in the Mid –Atlantic
Region!

- “Over 30 years ago,
my mother, brother, and myself, began cutting lawns, trimming shrubs, and weeding beds on weekends when visiting our Grandmother
in Northwest Washington D.C. In those “good old days” of unmotorized reel mowers and hand clippers,
we worked hard to satisfy our original fourteen valued customers, all neighbors of Grandma. We learned quickly the value of
providing good service and quality as others in the neighborhood desired our exemplary services and soon we had to limit our
workload.
- In 1984, our original sole proprietorship,
known as Terra Tech Industries, was incorporated as Interra, Inc., which means “Into the Land”.
- Fast forward to today…2008. We added a line bar in 2003 to describe better
what is we do best; provide “Ultimate Landscapes”, hence the new name, Ultimate Landscapes by Interra.
Companies such as ours must grow and change to keep up with latest research
and trends, in the expanding landscape industry. Through the years our level of expertise has increased dramatically, along
with the caliper of work performed. We ceased being a “Mom and Pop organization” many years ago, yet
have never stopped offering the same personal service and commitment as in the early days. We continue to emerge as
an Industry leader with years of experience, insuring that your prized lawn and ornamentals will be treated with the best
in quality care.
Some things have changed through the years, and yet others have stayed the same. I still play
a highly active role in daily operations, assurance that each job is performed to its absolute best. It is also a chosen and
primary responsibility of mine to oversee the training of each new employee, further guaranteeing that Ultimate Tree and Landscapes
maintains the same hard working, dependable service the family offered in the 1970’s.”
